Marion L. (Nisula) Tata, 77 years old, died Monday, July 16, 2012 in UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Larry J. Tata, three daughters Sharon Campbell and her husband Dale of Oregon, their children Marion Dietz and her husband Chris, Rabecca Moisan and her husband Derek, Joseph Mehtala and Michael Mehtala and his wife Melissa; Karen Brause and her husband Tom of Leominster, their children Benjamin Brause, Tommie Calisti and her husband Charlie and Adam Brause; Stephanie Catalfano and her husband Michael of Leominster, their children Michael Catalfano, Jr. and his wife Kristin, Cayla Barnett and her husband Rob and Lainie Catalfano; two sons Jack Tata and his wife Denice of West Boylston, their children Olivia Tata, Andrea Tata and Alec Tata; and Larry Tata and his wife Amy of Leominster, her sister Carol Massey and her husband Harvey, four brothers Ralph Nisula and his wife Cynthia, John Cormier and his wife Gloria, Barry Cormier and Kevin Cormier, her sister-in-law Mary Blanchette, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Marion was born in Leominster on April 12, 1935, daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Hildreth) Nisula and was a life long resident. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1953 and in her younger years had been a lifeguard at the former Whitney Field Pool in Leominster, where she met her husband Larry. Marion had worked in the cafeteria at both Northwest Elementary School and the former M.A. Gallagher Junior High School in Leominster. She was a member of St. Anna's Church in Leominster.
Marion was an exceptionally compassionate person. She was always ready to help anyone in need of any kind. Marion and Larry were blessed with a large family and the love she had for her children was exceeded only by the love for her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Throughout her life Marion's love knew no bounds, and she was loved in return by many.
TATA -- A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster.
